We just finished an action packed week in Tucson! We started off with nine school shows in five different schools across several counties in Tucson. We are passionate about sharing our craft with young minds and showing how accessible it is. After playing for around 1,000 + students, we headed to the Tucson Rodeo, an annual event that consists of a parade and of course, a rodeo! We were part of the pre-show entertainment and had a blast being a part of a Tucson tradition. Next up was a masterclass at the University of Arizona. With all of us coming from orchestral backgrounds, we do an orchestral masterclass to talk about playing within a section as well as excerpts and how to go about playing them in an audition as well as an ensemble setting. We like to combine our chamber and orchestral backgrounds together as they are extremely intertwined. We ended the week with our chamber performance for the Arizona Friends of Chamber Music. We had a diverse 90 minute concert that has a wide variety of repertoire. We were so happy to be able to play in this series and to receive such amazing feedback about our performance. Phew...I think that's it! We are gearing up for another exciting project soon...stay tuned!
